Okay, I recieved a 12 point 8 mm combo wrench for the bleeder screw, but I know you shouldn't use a 12 point (so you don't round out the screw).

But here's the thing i don't remember from class and I totally forgot to ask my teacher tonight, what kinda of wrench should I exchange it with?

1) a flare nut wrench (but I thought I should only use this for line disconnect)
2) a regular combo wrench (one box end, the other open end)

Obviously for the both, it will have to be a 6 point.

You need a flare nut wrench.

 

...and it's a 10mm on both my 4Runners.

Your Tundra could be different though...

 

Toyota's use only 8mm or 10mm, this was actually for my mom's Camry.

I guess i should use my resources better, and totally forgot about reviewing my class textbook for the answer. Actually, a flare nut wrench is mainly used on line fittings because it can have more contact on the sides, while still slipping onto the nut, with the open end.

I just exchanged it for an 8mm 6 point combo wrench. I am going to see if there is a kit for flare nut wrenchs, specially bent bleeder wrenches, and that tooth looking thingy for the star wheel adjuster on drum brakes on the internet, anyone have an idea?

 

You are supposed to use a flare wrench but since I don't have any I used a 10mm open end wrench and it worked great. I even used open end wrenches when I replaced my rear brake line with the longer stainless steel line that came with my Downey kit.

 

Today, I did a courtesy brake job and for bleeding, for the screw, I used a box end wrench, never an open end so I don't round out the screw.

Besides, Sears doesn't have a seperate flare nut wrench, anyway, to replace with
