thye may not be a great choice although i love them , at full lock im rubbing the upper a arm, it may go away after al lis said and done with the adjustments , and it could be the aggresive tires, but the 18's may be too much. i would have gone with a 17 , but the tires do not come i na 17 , so i said the heck with it and went with the 18's. wheel spacers would help , but the smallest i found was 1.5 inch , and i only wanted to go a max of .75 , a different off set would work too. and i should have checked into that when i bought them. but i didnt , nest time i have them off , im goingto check the back spacing to find out how much they really are. the paper work i have jsut says med offset.

ps- i do love the wheels though.

airrikk, the fj looks sweet!!! If you get a set of spacers, a machine shop should be able to take them down to 3/4 for ya. They'll be able to tell ya how much without hurting the integrity of the spacer.

i think im jsut going to pass on the spacers and deal with the rub , evenutally ill get the right back spacing wheels ,i might set up a set of wheels for off road and keep these ones for daily driving.

thanks for the compliments , theres still many things to do though.
i still have to wire up the fog lights and the turn signals , which i hope ot have done by tomorrow.
ive got to hook up and run the wires for my cb, and the off road lights that are on my yakima load warrior ( i think im going to have a stereo shop run the wires for me)
my next order of buisness , well at least to buy is the all pro rock rails, then a winch. after that of course will be a dual battery setup.
then who knows LOL. im sure ill find way more stuff i wanna add. in fact all pro has some nice suspension stuff i want , beefier stuff. its al a matter of money LOL.

Looks good!
Wish you could join us for the Fall Colors Run next weekend.
I just added my Hi-Lift mounts, they are in my build-up thread.
Yes, the bumper looks very nice on your rig.
Looks like I will not have my ARB in time for the run, ARB must still be out nation wide.

you should come out this way for a little run on oct 21 , its being organized by ttora locally.
On Saturday, October 21st, there will be trail ride on the South Huckleberry Mtn trail in the Colville Nat'l Forest.
Meeting place and time: 7:00 AM - Rosauer's at the "Y" in Spokane (about one-half block north of the "Y"; easily accessible from either US 2 or US 395).
If you will not be coming from Spokane and want to meet us at another location, please e-mail me in advance to set up an alternate meeting place!
We will then convoy up to Kettle Falls - approximately 75 miles. The trails begin approximately 12 miles southwest of Kettle Falls.
It is anticipated we will be back in Spokane around 5 to 6 PM, depending upon conditions and the amount of time we spend at the "play" area(s).
I have been advised that "... South Huckleberry is not difficult, except for a couple of tight switchbacks near the top. It can be very brushy from the top down the south side."
According to the USFS Ranger, if you have a street legal vehicle, no special permits or passes are required.
The majority of this trail is ranked just a bit below a 3 (on a scale of 1 to 5) with a couple of very short sections being around 3.5).
If you have any of the following items, please bring them along:
Solid front and rear tow points
Recovery strap containing no metal hooks or chains!
Fire Extinguisher
Shovel and axe
First Aid Kit
Extra gear, i.e., the weather in October can be very changeable!
CB radio
GMRS / FRS radios
Spare Parts
Tools
Spare Tire
Liability waivers will be required for all participants!
If you are planning on participating, please RSVP via the following web page:

If you have any questions, please e-mail me!

Fab Four
Airrikk17. I have to ask. I know you recently hit a deer with your FJ. We have tons of deer here. I have researched about all the aftermarket bumpers available for the FJ, and the Fab Four is pretty much the one I have decided on. Basically because of the design with 3/16" plate.
Having said that, I haven't had the opportunity to see a Fab Four in person. Is this a deer bumper or not? Most others have 1/8" plate on the outer wings, and that is not heavy enough. I talked to Warn about their bumper and I was totally shocked at the tech's reply to me. He said it was a winch bumper and that was that.
I am waiting on Fab Fours bumper with the brush guard. They said it will be shipped the end of October.

i do have to say , i was very impressed at the shear weight of this bumper. and at the sme time , afraid it might be too heavy.
but with the adjustable coil overs from all pro, i dont think ill have any problem getting the truck to sit level.
i do not anticipate anymore problems with deer , when they hit my bumper. onlt thing on them that could get damaged would be the light pockets as they are plastic , but they are a fairly flexible plastic , so they might even survive. in fact with the lights being inset , i dontthink they would get damaged.
the brackets for the bumper are also made fro mthe same thickness as the bumper and have really good attachment points.
only problem with a bumper this stout , might be damage to the rest of the vehicle. there wont be any absorbation of the impact , but then again , this bumper might just bounce the deer out of the way. if i had had this bumper on when i hit the deer i beleive i would not have had any damage to my vehicle. it was a medium sized deer though , so who really knows.
if your asking me to hit another deer to check it out , ill pass LOL. im going to try and miss all of them , and by the way , the deer hit me LOL.
