everything you could ever want to know about uz series swaps. i think personally you will find the wiring part easier if you go with a obd1 4.0L 1uzfe from a sc400 or ls400.

that's every relevant website Ive been able to find about uz series, that i feel are informative, but I'm sure there are more, webs a big place. you will have to fab engine mounts, if yours is a 5sp, you will need a bell-housing adapter(dellows or another one, cant remember name, both from australia/new zealand) if you go auto and still want 4wd, you'll have to do what cebby did(put some of the uz series tranny internals into the 4runner tranny. its quite a complex swap in some regards, space is also a big issue. you will most likely have to go with electric pusher fans for the radiator, there is very little room between the radiator and the front of a uz once mounted.
hope this helps, brad

I have been following the swaps very closely but the person with the car said i could probably pick it up for like 500-1000 for everything it was hit on the side so i am completating doing this swap since that is the bulk of the fees.(i think)...

I think another large part is the bell housing, it's a custom order from Australia...

Unless you use a different transmission I suppose.

If you use an auto trans, it is a bolt up affair with all parts available in the US. If you go manual, there are kits in Aus available. Around $1100 USD IIRC.

When I say bolt up, I mean the engine to trans. You will need custom motor mounts, headers, and possibly a custom oilpan if you go rear sump or a body lift if you go front sump.
