22re Bling

This is what 6 months of rebuild looks like, (Hey I have two little Kids 1 1/2 and 3 months old...so garage time is at a minimun)

I was going to do a write up but never got around to it.

Big thanks to Ted over at engnbldr.com
Total rebuild is less than $600.00 Canadian,

Here's some links to the other pics,

I posted them so the next time someone says "Hey where is this part"
or "Wheres the Fuel filter? on a 22RE" "Wheres the TPS" "Vacuum Lines" ect ect.

Nice...

I like what you did with the crizapp on top of the valve cover. Shows off the top of the valve cover really well.

Thanks. I polished the TOYOTA and than realized the plate to hold all the vacuum sensors covers it up, All I would see is a shiny TO and half the Y. Simply little $1.00 mod. cleans it up nice.

Looks good! I hope everything works out, hopefully you won't have the problems I did. Any idea when you'll have it in the truck or have you already started?

hey what did you use for paint? I'm in the middle of a rebuild and am wondering what kind of paint to use for the valve cover that would hold up.

Just go to the hardware store and get either engine paint, motor paint or high heat paint. I think thats about all the names it could be.

RICER Lines. I put a set of those vaccum lines a 22RE I rebuilt a long time ago
and they would collapse and cause some idling problems.
I payed an arm and leg at the dealer for some new ones. My two cents.
