22re Bling

This is what 6 months of rebuild looks like, (Hey I have two little Kids 1 1/2 and 3 months old...so garage time is at a minimun)

I was going to do a write up but never got around to it.

Total rebuild is less than $600.00 Canadian,

Nice...

I like what you did with the crizapp on top of the valve cover. Shows off the top of the valve cover really well.

Thanks. I polished the TOYOTA and than realized the plate to hold all the vacuum sensors covers it up, All I would see is a shiny TO and half the Y. Simply little $1.00 mod. cleans it up nice.

that is one sweet looking engine. So about $530.00 US? Very nice.

Looks good! I hope everything works out, hopefully you won't have the problems I did. Any idea when you'll have it in the truck or have you already started?

hey what did you use for paint? I'm in the middle of a rebuild and am wondering what kind of paint to use for the valve cover that would hold up.

Just go to the hardware store and get either engine paint, motor paint or high heat paint. I think thats about all the names it could be.

Yeah here in Canada, I got them threw a buddy of mine, But Ive seen them at Canadian Tire and Part Source... In the Ricer Aile

I'm not a fan of the red/yellow combo though. Looks too ronald Mc Donaldish. :beer:

Yeah I couldn't find any other decent spark plugs. (at a decent price)

RICER Lines. I put a set of those vaccum lines a 22RE I rebuilt a long time ago
and they would collapse and cause some idling problems.
I payed an arm and leg at the dealer for some new ones. My two cents.
