2nd gen seafoam success

I just wanted to remind 2nd gen owners, if you are looking to smooth out the idle and generally make your 'runner run smoother, seafoaming your rig is always a good bet. I had seafoamed it once, about 6 months ago, and the smoke was copious and nuked my neighborhood.
this time, I put 1 whole bottle in my crankcase, 1/2 bottle down the brake vacuum line real slowly, and 1/2 bottle in the gas tank.
there was hardly any smoke this time, the runner just quieted down, idle smoothed out, it's like magic.
just wanted to share that! thanks,
T

/\ /\ yup... once you find a good mess of seafoam you can just drive right in, i prefer not to drive in frontwards, rather, I like to drive in at an angle until both tires on one side are submerged, then repeat onthe other side of the car, this usually hits all important aspects of the vehicle, runs great afterwards

Or, you can just gather it off of the beach and smear it on all of the important parts of the truck.

after I drive my truck into the seafoam, I sometimes give myself a seafoam treatment, you might want to wear a wetsuit though depending on where you live. I personally prefer a wetsuit up here in Sonoma County.

Funny thread...good laugh! Almost as good as a seafoam treatment.

you can even collect some seafoam in a nalgene or empty milk jug for use later, its a great maintenance tool for on the trail! its good to smear it on your CV boots before you start crawling, itll make sure they dont crack and it might even help rebuild your CV joints in the process!

Seafoam is awesome stuff...I put some in my TRD supercharger intake, and it completely tuned it. No more pinging baby!
