starting issues 89 3.0
my 4runner starts and drives like a top every day, untill it gets hot that is. when the temps get around 98 or hotter it takes a while to catch, only if its been sitting for a couple of hours. as soon as it starts there are no other symptons.
example. this morning 87 outside truck started right up drove to work 4 hours later go to lunch, 100 outside, starter spins for an extra 10 seconds before it grudingly starts up. drive to lunch park it, 45 minutes later starts right up, back to work. now when I head for home (103)it will have the extra spin.
I've hear it could be the cold start injector bleeding down, causing a fuel starved start. if so can you rebuild these? I bought an extra one off of a wreck to see what it does.
its going to be too damn hot to work on it for a month or two and I'm sure after it cools off and the starting issue goes away I'll forget about it until next summer again!
