Follow the directions here http://www.amsoil.com/faqs/faq8.htm On my 2001 Tacoma the discarge of the radiator ATF cooler was the driver side. To be sure, disconnect the hose and place it in a bucket, put a spare piece of hose on the hose barb and place it in another bucket. Start the engine for a few seconds and check the buckets. That way you can be sure which side is discharge.
I used a 5 gallon bucket and made up a dip stick to keep track of how much gets pumped out versus how much you pour in. You will need to stop the engine a few times to catch up. I purchased two cases of ATF and used 20 quarts to flush the system.
Overall, not a tough job. Good luck!

Yes, I switched to Amsoil at 25k miles when I added the ATF cooler, the shifts seemed crisper. Spend the $20 on a perfered customer, any questions seem to get answered quicker and if you use their product you more than make it up.

Here's a pretty good writeup: http://www.4x4wire.com/cgi-bin/ultim...;f=78;t=001390
I just switch to amsoil at 170k.
