So the runner was parked for about a month and finaly I go to start it and obv I have to jump it. I try to jump it and get it cranking but no start. There was little to no gas in the truck so I got a gallon and put it in. Tried jumping it again and still nothing. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!

One thing I noticed is that I smell gas, I've smelt it for a while but it started and ran fine, maybe a lil low on the mpg but nothing serious. It semlls as if its coming from the tank or line, but not the engine compartment.

Do I have to prime the gas or anythign? what should I do???

I have an 87 22RE 5 speed.

there is nothing to prime. if you smell gas it is either flooded or you have a leak somewhere.

 

Try spraying some carb cleaner in the intake somthing might be gumed up.
