I am just checking, but i am pretty sure i was reading a few months ago that 4Runners are more expensive/higher resale in Texas. Is this true? Reason is, i am thinking of selling mine in the next year and will be traveling to Texas (San Antonio) for school in a few months. Wondering if its worth it to sell it there. Can anyone shed some light on this subject? What i think i remember reading somewhere on here was that in Washington state and Texas, that 4Runners and pickups? are more expensive when buying used in these states. Like, some guy bought a used 2nd gen. 4runner for $5K something saying "thats how much they are going for there" I have a '92 4runner and am just curious. Sorry if this post sucks.

When I was shopping for a Toy, it seemed to me that P/Us were out of Texas and Arizona. Try here, for Wash.St. prices.

I live in Washington, and Toyota's in General seem to have a slightly higher street value. I paid $3500 for my 90' Runner in the winter of 03', and that was a good deal then. Even with prices going down on SUV type rigs, 4Runners still seem to be holding there ground, a good well maintained 4Runner in this area with a good clear title, and a good clean background with papers to prove will go in the area of $4500-$6500 depending on options.

Just recently I saw a fully loaded 95' Runner 3.0 V6 Auto, that was in excellent condition inside and out, with 90k on it, and they were asking $10k for it.. I'd imagine $8k cash woulda took it. It really was a damn good looking clean 4Runner, IMO about a $7.5-8k rig. It looked like it rolled off the showroom floor. I thought $10k was too much, but it only sat forsale for about 2 weeks.

 

ALL vehicles vary in price around the nation depending where you are. 4x4s command a higher premium in snow/ice states or farm country in general because of more requirement for them. Also, wages in a particular area will drive the prices of vehicles (& houses, etc., too).

4runners here can reach some crazy prices

 

Toyota's in general don't stay on the market long here in Oregon. I bought my 92 4runner for $4,000 not long ago with 125,000 on it and it's a limited and in great condition.

Right now there is a 94 for $6,485 and a 95 for $6,995 and both of them are in just okay shape with close to 200,000 miles on them. There is also a 90 for $3,500. I should add, these are all 4runners

There is a 93 pickup, 4cyl with the entire radio section of the dash ripped out and they are asking $5,995. This one has been on the lot for a while now, they are asking way to much considering the condition.

There are also a few 1st gen 4runners for around $3,500.

Colorado is a seller's market for 4Runners or any 4wd in general but Toyotas do command solid prices.
