Air Suspension on '03 4Runner Limited

Hi Everyone,
I am still having problems getting the 4Runner that I want. My "ordered" car came in last Friday. When I went to see it on Saturday, I noticed that it did not have the (RF) Rear Suspension. Gee was I ticked off. The dealer called me today and told me that Toyota is no longer offering this option. The assumption is that it may be causing some problems. Does anyone out there know if this is true or am I just getting some excuse to sell me the vehicle that came in by mistake?

Thanks,
Morry

Morry:

I haven't heard anyone in a limited trim that has the rear air nor have I seen any. I actually wanted to see one just to see what the hoopla was all about but none...

Actually the lexus GX 470 is the exact twin of the 4runner... just a more expensive version... those come standard with the rear height control that you're talking about. I've seen a few on the road so it can't be a mechanical issue.

I'd say the stealers prob pullin your leg but i could be wrong.

Post Air Suspension

I just got my 03 Limited with rear air suspension a few days ago. Here in Canada ALL V8 Limited's come with that suspension ONLY. You have no choice. 5 days does not make me an expert and little time for any problems but I have had no problems at all. I am not really sure if I will be making great use of it as it moves the suspension 1.8" up max and .8" down max. It automatically levels if weight is put in. I have heard of no problems with this.
I think the dealer is playing games with you.

Hey Morry,

I ordered my 4Runner with this option and it should be here the 15th (April)...Finally!!! Anyway, there have been several of them in the south with this option. Also, they are still offering this on Toyota's web site. I guess it is possible they have not updated it though since the web site still states the transmision is 4 speed
