Post K&N Public Service FYI

I've been having problems getting the correct K&N Precharger Wrap Cover for several filters I own. What I have learned is that K&N has had some problems with the wrong size covers being sold for the wrong size filters ... it's a real mess :pat:

So-o-o, before you pull your hair out if the filer cover you bought doesn't fit your filter, call them and check it out.

I heard someone mention using pantyhose as a prefilter. Are you talking about the drop-in filters for the stock air box, or the FIPK filters?

I've used the panty hose, but then I get blisters on my heels.

No, I am talking about those overpriced socks that slip over the cone filters and reduce the airflow efficiency by about 10%, BUT keep out a lot of the dust and crap the engine ingests whilst traversing dirt roads.
