Mounting Power Tank in the rear of the FJC

Here is a pic of my current C02 bottle holder in my '91 4Runner.

I doubt if it will work in the back of the FJ Cruiser, as there is no wheel well hump back there for the front of the tube to sit flat on.

BT17R last week measured the rear cargo area for me, and it looks like I will be able to mount my cargo box in the back and secure it with my straps with the D rings in the FJ.

What I will probably have to end up doing is mount the bottle laying down, then take it out of the bracket to use it, as you can not use C02 with a bottle on its side.

Anyone with an FJC, have you thought about mounting a tank back there, and if so, please share your ideas of how you would do it.

Something like this would even work bolted to the floor off to the side of the cargo box if there is room, and if not, the bracket could be bolted to the cargo box.

Was kind of hoping though to mount my 15" sub to the top of the cargo box.
There is not as much room in the rear of the FJ as the 2nd gen 4Runner.

Corey, I'll be packing my portable compressor instead. This may be impractical, I don't know the environmental limitations of a CO tank, but there's plenty of space externally, under the floor in front of the hitch area. Prado has an optional fuel tank mounted there. A smaller CO tank could be tucked well out of harms way, I'd think.

I would rather keep it incab Bob, its gonna be purday
Going to go with screamin' yellow this time.
Maybe I should change the FJ order from Titanium Metallic to Fusion Yellow

Plus I would want quick access to it, and it stays cleaner incab.
I miss my old tank very much.
I use to use it monthly when checking the tire pressure and topping them off once a month.

Hmmmmm...
I do not think the PT is going to fit beside the cargo box like it does currently in my 4Runner.

I think it will have to mount to the top of the cargobox.
I wish I had exact measurments of the floor space in the back of the FJ, I would know for sure.

If any FJ owner here could get me side to side measurments, I would know for sure.
My cargobox is 37" wide, and figure in around 10" or so for the width of the PT and bracket if it can be mounted off to the side.

Mellow yellow instead of black like before.

Corey, the completely flat usable cargo area is 42" wide by 30" deep, the same width but slightly greater depth than the cargo mat shown before contacting the closed door.

In front of the cargo mat is a sloping piece that would add another 5" in depth if it weren't there. It appears to be fastened with the same bolts holding the tie-down loops in place, I'll try removing it tomorrow to see. But, vertical clearance is partly obstructed by the sloping rear seatbacks when they're up. The top of the seatbacks also are about a max 5" rearward as the rear edge of the floor sloping piece. If that makes any sense. You might be able to rig carrying straps to tie-downs below the rear window edge. It would mean transporting the tank horizontally though.
