There is a 91 ext cab 4x4 22re for sale with a bad headgasket for $2500 obo.
I am going to check it out this week but want to get some imput on the price with a the bad headgasket. Also how much am I looking to spend for the headgasket if I do the work myself or if I had a shop do it ?
Anything else I should look for?

If you do the head gasket your self, probally less than 250$..Other than gaskets all you need is to have the head checked. I would consider a timing chain, engnbldr sells one for $64.

A friend of mine got a 84 with a blown HG, for $400 he had a new head gasket, timing chain, 2" shackle lift, and used 32's....cheap can be had

What are the other stats on the truck, miles, body, etc...

 

i would see if he take $2,000

 

How many miles does the truck have on it? Are the body and interior in good shape? if the rest of the truck is in good shape that's not a bad deal, even better if you can do the work yourself. Any pictures?
