Exclamation So my wheels get stolen.....

Long story short my wheels(Aluminum?) get stolen off of my 1991 4runner one morning. Luckily the greatest website on earth came to the rescue, craigslist, and presented the deal of a lifetime with absolute perfect timing. A set of stock wheels from a 1991 4runner, the same year as mine, for $50 including the spare! I picked them up but the lug nuts that I have are made for my aluminum(?) mag rims and not the stock rims that I have bought.

Anybody know where I can buy a set of lug nuts for some stock rims for a 1991 4runner? Preferably for cheap?

Well there is a lot of space between the head and the rim. The err head wasn't flush to the rim. It sticks out

If you now have the 7-spoke steel wheels, you should be able to get a suitable lug nut from a local chain autoparts store. They should just have a tapered seat. Don't need the taper AND the flat on the lug like you do on your old factory aluminum (4-split-two's) wheels.

These came off my 3rd gen 2001 Runner. I have a full set, 20 lugs & 4 wheel locks. If I remember correctly they also work for most stock wheels wwith a 12 x 1.5 stud. Let me know if you want them, they would be 20 shipped. I have had them lying around for quite some time. I am guessing you have the acorn style nuts know, which would not work with stockers. PM me if interested, but last I remmeber all stock toyota wheels took the same lugs, with the washer attached.

Pics of my situation

This is what happened..

This is what I had to replace my aluminum rims with. The lugs don't fit. Any suggestions? Who has some stock lug nuts for sale? I need a whole set(24)

As you can see, the lugs you are currently using have a flat washer just below the flats on the nut. This flat washer mates with the machined flat in your original, aluminum wheels.

It appears , tho, that the taper on the lugs (you are currently using) do seem to fit into the tapered hole of the steel wheels (in the pic). The regular 'acorn' lug nuts you would get from the Toyota dealer or from a parts store would only have the tapered part ( fits down IN the hole of the rim , somewhat) , but they would not have a flat washer.

As long as the tapered hole in the WHEEL isn't touching the stud, ( i.e., the lug nut taper is 'centering' the stud within each hole), you should be fine. Just doesn't 'look' pretty.

I did this and when I went in for my 2nd tire rotation at Discount Tire Company they showed me how the key had already broken away at a few locations. With these poorly designed locks it's just a matter of time before the key chips in too many locations for you to get the bolts off.

Gorilla makes a really good wheel lock that has a better design less prone to chipping/breaking.

you need 12x1.5 I have a full set including wheel locks and key of 12x1.5 OEM Toyota lugs, I posted the picture above, a few replies back, if that's what your looking for, I am willing to part with them, and I will give you a much better deal than a dealership will. Let me know, there are 20 lugs and 4 wheel locks, plus key.
[edit]nevermind, your pics take a long time to load, but you need the aorn style lugs, 12x1.5mm you can get them at pepboys. Is ee you allready have the stock lugs and they arent working.
