Friday was a busy day

Did a lot of work on the interior (some minor exterior) yesterday. So much contorting in the inside with the rollcage that I'm kind of sore today.

Here's a couple pictures:

took these nasty old seats out:

and put in some much nicer seats courtesy of Milton (Cabbage) - YOU'RE AWESOME DUDE!

I took out all the bad replacement carpeting - nasty stuff. I have bare metal on the bottom of the truck now. Here's a funny picture... there was SO much sand that I left a trail from my truck to my patio (where it is now home for my dog).

Dude, do you have to do all of your work in a car port or do you have a garage?

Carport.
Can you imagine how much of a rush I started to get in when I saw the sun going down and the rain clouds above?

Even when I was living at my buddy's house I wasn't able to use the garage that much because he didn't like it. Almost everything I do is outside - that combined with my schedule doesn't allow me to do much.

I have a covered parking spot but my top and some miscellaneous parts are occupying it right now. I have to figure out what I'm going to do about that.

You know, I thought about it but there's three reasons why I won't go get it professionally done -

1. it is too much of a pain in the butt to work inside. There were modifications done to the seats that make it harder to remove.
2. too much $$
3. too much of a pain in the butt to work inside.

Maybe someday I'll herculine it myself but probably sometime after I've forgotten the pain of interior work

Those are Kings. I'm a little low on gas so I'll have to go to a motorcycle shop next time I have a chance and get refilled.

Another busy day today...

Seafoamed the Tacoma. This is after the first treatment when it sat for about an hour. The second treatment has sat for about 6 hours now. I'll be going out to start it in a little while:

Took off the 1st gen doors and replaced them with much nicer looking (interior-wise) replacements. The speakers on the replacements didn't look very good but fortunately the speakers on the original doors were still in good shape

old doors:

new doors:

End result:

Also got around to putting in an ammo can and a fuel can in the back:

EDIT:
the seafoam pictures were too big...

[celinedion]Parts will live on and on [/celinedion]
Yeah they went on pretty easy and I did it solo too!
Either they went in easy or I screwed up big time. I actually just pushed the door in until I heard the latch catch. I then put the bolt through and would semi-tighten the top then tighten the bottom. I'd open the door, close it, and push up on the top until I could properly tighten the top bolts.

Went in a lot easier than I thought they would. The doors don't match perfectly with the rest of the body though. The edges of the doors stick out EVER so slightly. If I had the top on I would have gone to the car wash to see if I had any leaking but...
