What is the factory tire size on a 94 2wd pickup

 

have you looked inside your driver door B pillar, there should be a sticker that shows you.

 

been painted over

 

I believe they were the 225's

 

My 4x4 is 225 75 15's, I think 2Wd would be smaller,my owners manual has the possibles listed and there are several mentioned. You could call a dealer?

 

My 90 2wd came with 205-75-14 inch tires.

this might be a thread jack so sorry. but what do all the numbers turn out to be. like 195/75r14 mean. i know the 14 is rim size? but what size does that turn out to be? my runner has 31x10.50x15 and i know what that means but the other numbers confuse me. sorry for the dumb question.

I have a 94 standard, came with 195/75/14 .It is listed as such from the factory. The truck currently has 225/70/14 tires on it. So if your having trouble finding rims and the like , you have to look and talk to people that have a clue.

 

My 94 4runner came with 225s, my neighbors 94 4runner came with 31s, lol.

woops, both those 4runner arent 2wd, they are 4, haha.

 

mines got 14" rims with around 24" tires...

but all 4 of my tires are different brands lol

Because apparently other folks might be coming here with the same question. See? Here it is 3.5 years later, and I stumbled upon it looking for some info on what seems to be a scarcity of choices for tires for my '91 pu.

 

Hope you found what you were looking for. For comparison I'm running the stock 195/75-14 in the front(for factory turn radius) and (+2's?) 215/70-14's in the rear(for extra traction). I had 205's in the front and they were rubbing the inner apron in tight corners, with factory setting on the turn stops.

 

Thanks very much. I'm becoming frustrated looking, as the only thing Firestone had was Primewells, and I'm not a fan of those. The only problem with running wider tires on the back is I won't be able to rotate. I'm still not sure on how all my four tires got cupped like they have. Firestone told me they're that way because they've not been rotated. But brakes look good, balljoints / bearings look good...

Discount tire direct has 195/75R14 Kumhos for 80 a piece w/ free shipping. If I had to have an import tire that's probably the one I'd go with.

Wider tires are fine generally speaking you'll only run into issues with really fat ones, like old school MT slicks. The ackerman compensation is based off the center of the axel, so you would only have issues with changing the offset spacing of the rims.

By cupping you mean dished in the center? That would/could be from over inflation, or over speed on the tire rating, or maybe doing burnouts with hot tires. Overinflation could be a bad guage, but more likely just due to temperature changes. You can solve that by finding someone(good dealership) to refill the tires with nitrogen it is more temp stable, or adjust the tire pressure down after a long drive after the tires are hot.

Uneven tire wear, aka beveling, is due to not rotating. Not to knock your firestone rep but maybe he's new to the job.

he said cupping which is usually caused by a worn out damper,un balanced tire, or part of a bad alignment... not over inflation. i dont see how you would get the 2 even mixed up. but since you like charts.
