So I just got Rogers harness in the mail the other day, and now I want some bright bright bulbs to take advantage of the newly found power. Ive read alot on here about the Silver stars or the Night Hawk. Im looking for something like 100w low beam , 130 high beam, but those are hard to find in a 9004 bulb..any ideas?

 

probably not a good thing to do on a DD. its not nice for the other drivers.

Make sure u get the upgraded junk on the harness.

 

Hey Thorsten! You could try the PIAA lights they come in street legal wattages and almost street legal but throw light like much higher output bulbs. Don't forget with the new harness you'll be getting better output from the stock lamps anyways. Why not try a set of silverstars? You might also take as look in the classifed section (miscalanious/vehicle related) here there was a guy yesterday with a link to a site with higher than stock but street legal bulbs. Lots of tales of the high power (90/130) bulbs melting the reflector. Stick to the 80/100 max.

I run the PIAA bulbs and like them a lot - just wish the headlamps had a better beam pattern

 

Hey tc not sure what year your rig is. Do you have the big plastic lens or the standard rectangle with a conversion kit?
If its the kit you could try switching to the bosch kit its very nice with a euro spec beam pattern ie lower on the left with a sort of "flare" up to the right so you can read street signs etc.
If its the plastic lens I think I've seen a replacement for it also on ebay or at one of those speedshop sites. aviator

 

i agree with not getting such a high wattage bulbs be nice to the other drivers i have silverstars and i got some cheap driveing lights from wal-mart and put my 85 watt piaa bulbs in and its plenty bright of course i use those lights when there no other cars on the road

Not trying to burst your bubble, but they don't. This topic has been covered a lot on the board, and the only way to really get better light is with higher wattage bulbs or phillips +50% bulbs.

i run the philips vision+50 bulbs (stock wiring harness) and they are definitely WAY bright, without being TOO bright. imo

 

I have the trapezoidal ones (not square), but I think they have glass lenses...haven't seen any replacements.
