How much oil and what weight?

I tryed searching but no luck(kind of in a hurry) so I apologize if this has been covered before. I do not have an owners manual for my '00 4R SR5 (3.4L) and i am fixing to do my first oil change in it. Could someone tell me (or direct me on where I can get info) how much oil does it hold and what weight is recomended? In my wifes Tacoma (2.7L) I use Valvoline Maxlife 5w-30. Would that work good in my runner also? Thanks!

I always use 5W30 in my 99 (which is what the manual recommends...). IIRC it is 5.5 qts with a new filter. I don't think you need to spend extra for the "max life", but that is up to you.

And most agree that the Toyota filter is the best oil filter.

5.5 quarts approximately and I use 5w30. If you come from a really cold area, others have recommended 0w30.

Thanks everybody! I kind of figured it was 5.5 quarts, just wanted to make sure. I always use toyota filters, aren't they supposed to have a check valve that doesn't allow the oil to drain back down? I have been using 5w-30 in my wifes taco because that's what the manual recommend.

I use 5W30 year round and OEM toyota filters too (some aftermarket have anti drainback, Fram don't!)

How do you like those Honda foreman ATVs?

MTL, I love my Honda Foreman. It has gotten me thru just about everything I wanted to, except the real thick goo(tried to go where no man has gone before)! There were a couple recalls(clutch plate and tie rod end)which were fixed immediately, but so far only 2 on the new 500 foremans.

My 2000 SR5 3.4L takes a tad over 5.5 qts with a filter change, 5W-30 synthetic.
