Blue Camo Paint Job. Ideas Help Suggestions pics ?

I've been poundering the idea of re-painting the rig this spring Camo Blue.

(I'm Tired of the Plain ol red) and since the truck has been retired to offroad use only now Im wanting a new look for it.

Does anyone have any pictures of Truck's painted like this?. any How To's ? or advice ? write ups ? websites ? Thoughts ?

Something like this is what Im looking for:

Flame if you want to.. But I kinda like it.

Go for it...it is yours and you can damn well do what you want with your Toy.

I think it would be very unique.

check out TTORA - especially Norcal - a lot of their guys are into the camo thing (the blue camo is usually called "urban", there is a white/grey/lt blue "snow" camo too)

Tip:

Find some little kid to make the templates for you... I'm sure they'd have more fun doing it than you would.

That is Mike's truck. He JUST finished painting it. I was totally gonna suggest Norcal TTORA to you but TC beat me to it. LOL

Hmm... I wonder if rolling your rig and then chopping it makes ya want to paint it (I am looking at the chop and paint option now)

I like the snow camo a lil better than the blue but that is just me. :-)

Dangit, you all beat me to it... I was totally thinking of Mike when I started reading this thread... And I agree, I dig the snow camo... Yogi did desert camo on his Taco and it looks awesome too... My truck's already silver, so I think if I ever did it, I'd go with the snow camo too... Of course, I'm also thinking of bringing back the "scalloped" look... (Just kidding)

My 0.02: Do the blue camo with large patterns like Mike has. Also, make sure you extend past any body lines or anything else that is a straight line. That's the only thing you need to make a camo job look good.

Starr with a coat of the lightest shade. Then work your way up to the darkest.

In between each coat, make sure you mask off the lightest colors.

oh yeah, definetly mask off everything. It'll give it a nice, crisp look, like that Taco has, instead of a kinda red-neck look

Jesus, after reading the thread on TTORA, I want to do the Arctic Camo to my truck
LineXing the bottom half was my next priority, but perhaps a camo job first. Doesn't seem hard at all, just needs lots of downtime.

I'm not a huge fan of camo, but that white and grey looks really awesome! Not too busy--just right. Me likes!

I think you could mix in some blue-grey color in with it too if you wanted too. Would look good too.
