I have a intermittent hard shift from park into reverse or drive and when driving it will shift hard sometimes and when it does it jolts the truck. I should also state it has a 4in trailmaster lift with 33in tires otherwise stock. My don't know if it means anything but my fuel gauge bounces and there is a high pitched squeek from underneath the dash when the brakes are fully pressed while in park or neutral...very weird. I have check trans, brake and oil fluids and recently put a new fuel filter in. but I only bought this truck recently so I don't know what else has been done.

 

update:
It threw a cel, code 11- momentary interuption in ecu power supply
It also dies at stop lights occansionally.
Maybe I need to take her out back a shoot her, put her out of her misery.

 

Naaah, you don't need to shoot her. It just sounds like she has character like most 1st Gens have. Incidently, not many people know this but your rig's stalling at red lights was a rare option- it was called the "You are stopped at a red light indicator." Anyway, I look forward to hearing about what the cause of your truck's "character issues" are. Peace.

 

Sooo Does anyone know of a good toyota mechanic in the tracy, or bay area. Or Is someone willing to come over or me come somewhere and help me figure out this mess.
