How to kill the evil buzzer but save the dome light?

So I unplugged the stupid BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ seat belt idiot warning-sound making box underneath the dash (by the brake pedal) on my new truck, an 89 4runner with a 22re, and thought I was a real genius.

Then I discovered that the dome light was wired through it. Ouch.

Does anyone happen to know which wires I should cut? Or have a better idea? I can't get the box out of there for a closer look, it seems to be riveted.

take the buzzer unit apart and bend the two little metal tabs apart or just remove em!

Can't you just connect two of the wires on the connector together to make the dome light work?

I just stuck a piece of paper in between the metal tabs. So much better.

Is that the same buzzer that tells you that the key is in the ignition?

Yeah.. as I say, I can't take the box out without breaking something. Its got about 10 wires going in there. Maybe I willl just have to break the tab and duck tape it back togather.

I think it is on a tab that you have to pull the box down to get it off. Does that make sence?

Does it buzz after you take the key out of the ignition and open the door? Just poke the key hole hard with you finger. It should go off. I have to do that every other time I get out. No biggy.
