Free Symantec Antivirus!

Here you go guys and gals, the free full version of this Antivirus. This is military 'issued' version, meaning that I'm aloud to use it for personal use, and distribute it out to my 'friends' that may send me files (you guys)... It's being hosted at this site because you can only download the file from a .MIL domain computer. It's a low resourse version meaning that it has everything but is not flashy, and doesn't slow down your computer while being used.

Thanks for the offer but I am happy with my current antivirus software.

It is called AVG antivirus found at grisoft.com All you have to do to use the free version is register it.

also, Grisoft does a really good job with providing updates every other day.

Ditto on AVG. It's always free (though there's a "pro" version as well), it works swell, and it doesn't eat nearly as many resources as any of the crap Symantec/Norton products - even the "low resource" versions. ugh.

thanks nick, i downloaded it just to take a look at it... but i usually use linux. Very interesting i love all the advanced choices and options you get . This seems like it was designed more for network and computer admin's as install asks about server or client setup info. I have never seen any norton products like this. I also liked that is wasn't flashy, I mean seriously how much time do you spend going through the settings on your antivirus software?
