If your going with a 2.5"+ of lift, then a diff drop is a must, I already know that information. My question is with a 3" top plate spacer (EZ-Lift) and a 1" differential drop (4Crawler) will the CVs be OK? This sounds like a noobish question but I just want to know for sure before I run into any problems. Also, if anyones running a 3" lift up front with a diff drop, please share your experience. Thanks.

 

I know its not good but Ive been running a 3" front lift with no diff drop for about a year now. Havent noticied any problemns, but I know I should definately go with one.

 

How much lift are you running at the rear and what type of lift?

 

Yeah, the CV's should be okay...

The spacer is on top of the pack?!? That seems like more of a stress on the upper ball joint than anything else.

 

Usually just the folks with the 99 longer coils have problems with a 3" spacer lift even with a diff drop. You should be fine.

 

I'll be running the FJ80 front coils in the rear and an EZ-Lift 2" top plate spacer with the bamachem 1/2" top out spacer, plus various other things to complete the lift. Will I be able to clear 295/75R16 Nitto Terragrappler ATs with the lift?

 

Sounds comparable to what bamachem is running...but I think he has a 1" or 2" body lift...don't remember, but he runs 305s.

 

I clear 295's with slight rubbing while backing up with a 2.5" front spacer lift, downey rears, and a 2" bodylift.

You will most likely still need a bodylift to clear 295's.

 

I am actually thinking of a body lift and I think 1" might be enough to clear 285 since the 295 are too tall to clear w/o at least maybe a 2" body lift. So with 285/75R16 Nitto Terragrappler ATs, 2.5" front lift using 2" EZ-Lift top plate spacers plus a 1/2" bamachem top out spacer, 3.5" rear lift using FJ80 front coils, and a 1" body lift probably from 4Crawler should easily clear the 285s?

 

I cleared 285s w/ nothing but a 2" body lift...now wheeling 285s is another story. I think w/ what you are talking about you will be able to wheel the 285s with perhaps some fender well lining trimming and a bit of pinch weld pounding.
