hi-lift mount bracket measurments
Corey.. Someone??? Can some one get me the bolt hole pattern measurements from the 4xRac for the Hi-lift.. I need to make a backing plate for one for my new rack.. I don't trust bolting ti to the side, so I am going to make a backing plate that has a gusset plate bolted to my Thule bars. I probably will tap and screw it the the front & rear sides of the bars... But I need the bolt hole measurements, and the width/length of the bracket bolt surface as well
Thanks Lee.
Thanks Lee.

Be kind of hard to tell from their site.
If I was going to be by Central 4WD tomorrow, I'd measure a set for you.

Oh.. I thought you had one Corey... Hey, if you want to do that it would be great.. when you measure the bolt holes go from the hole centers..
If you don't have time of they don't have an open one, don't sweat it..

Hey.. did you paint your jack or did you buy one of the new powdercoated ones?? I have a can of red krylon sitting on my desk waiting to be sprayed on my hi-lift..
What I need to do is order a new runner (or try to re-bend mine straight)
I wonder if Hi-lift would send new decals??

I think mine is one of the older ones since I bought it around a year ago.
The paint has come off and rusted in a few places when I have left it on overnight.
So I suspect it's not powder coated, unless they do a cheap job of it.
I don't know if mine has decals on it, I'll have to take a gander at it.

Jackson.. Thanks!
PS Corey, you do have the newer style if you did not paint it.. That bright cherry red is the new style.. Before that they were that rusty primer red like mine.. Mine is pretty nasty from the NE weather/salt.. I recently put some bearing grease on the climing pins.. but it needs an overhaul. Right now it needs to get of the kitchen counter before my wife kills me

Garsh...they sure do a piss poor job powder coating them then.
I thought it was regular paint on there.
Yeah, I always lube mine with white lithuem spray after I get back with it.
If I leave it on Friday night before a run, it will rust a bit from the dew.

I attached a photo for your reference. As you can see, the holes have 1/4" space between them, and they are ever so slightly less than 9/16" in diameter. If you need any other measurements, let me know.

:pat: Woops.. No, I was talking about the mount bracket it self...
I have a hi-lift, and I just bought a hi-lift bracket for it.. But I am going to make a backing plate that ties into my Thule bars as well as the basket.. (I think it is kinda heavy to mount to the basket bu itself...) I was looking for the mount bracket bolt hole pattern..
I got a fair deal on a new bracket off e-bay.. I got it for $24.50 (I have seen it lower, but the shippint from this gou on e-bay was only $5.00 which makes it lower than the one I found for $22.50 with $8.33 shipping but only by pennies.. ( put a max bid in for just under what it would of cost me to but that one and my bid was maxed out.. Hey, you never know..
Here is a photo all clean (or it was anyway) with the new rack on..

Haa Haa.. well if I had one here I would be all set.. :pat:
But it is in the mail, and I am curious where it is going to sit on my rack.. I may be mounting it so the jack is on the inside of the rack too..

OK... let's try this again.
Length of bracket, edge to edge - 6 1/2"

Length of bracket, center of bolt hole to center of bolt hole - 5 5/16"

Width of bracket, edge to edge - 2 1/2"

Width of bracket, center of bolt hole to center of bolt hole - 1 11/16"
