Recording music off internet-shareware?

Here's the deal, I'm listening to sirius radio on my laptop (I haven't bought a home kit yet to use my receiver inside)- what program can I use to record the music from the Sirius site to convert to MP3's? Preferably a shareware/freeware program.

Thanks!

David

Not familiar with Sirius- What program does it play through on your computer?

I just got a program called Tunebite (from Tunebite.com) that automatically converts things played on Windows Media Player into various formats. It seems to work pretty well, but not free- Around $18. I use it to convert music purchased on Rhapsody for use on my Ipod.

Well, it seems to play directly from their website, not using any specific media player.

Check out Web Stream Recorder I've had pretty good luck with it. You may need the Pro version to intercept the Sirius stream. They're both free to try and not terribly expensive.

I haven't heard back from David (his work's been a bit busy) but you could also try the link I posted and then let us know how it worked for you.

Hi guys,

I didn't have much luck with Mark's software- at least the trial version was unable to pick up the Sirius stream. However, I did find another program that worked well- "Fox Audio Recording." This link is an old one, but you can get to their site from it. Trial allows you to record one minute, gotta buy the package for the full deal: http://downloads.zdnet.co.uk/0,39025...100679s,00.htm
