i deliver pizzas in my 93 sr5 4runner and last night a customer asked how much for my vehicle
he told me he would only pay "blackbook" b/c bluebook is to high
from my understanding blackbook is the price a dealer would give you if you trade in
I just got ole blue at the end of July for $5400 and have already replace almost all of the alignment parts on her

If isold her id get a cheap car and a toyota 4X4 of somesort what do you think

Why would you pay less then you paid? Blackbook is the price a dealer will pay based on the idea that they will mark it up to make a profit. Thats why its almost always better to sell privately then trade-in when buying new. Not to mention that in the last couple years Toyotas have been demanding above their projected value.

 

Never sell for blackbook, Unless the vehicle is a piece of trash.

 

i lookede up blue book about $4500 and black book about $3500 i wouldnt sell her for less than $4900 due to all the $$$ i dropped into her (pitman,idler,allignment adjustment sleeves, trans flush, 3 oil changes with full synthetic oil and filter - high milage/ truck suv 4x4, 2 new airfilters, 2x allignment) about $900

shes going to stay at least till july depending on gas prices due to college starts in Aug.

 

Never sell for blackbook price unless you are moving overseas the next day.
