Swap rear end from 4 runner to pick up

My rear end on my pick up is pretty much gone, as in the seal started leaking and my girl drove it for some time with no fluid (typical girl,,lol) But my friend who has a totalled 4 runner same year,,,93 said I can have the rear end out of it (meaning the ring and gear pumpkin thingy) Sorry I dont know all the right terms here. I know how to do the swap, although, on the rear end part from the 4 runner, there is a little electrical plug going into it. What is that for? And does it need to be hooked up to anything when I install it into my truck? My rear end doesnt have any electrical plugs going into it.

4Runners have rear ABS - trucks do not IIRC. Don't have to plug it in if you don't want to.

My 1994 P/U has it, but it was an option.

Maybe you can put rear ABS on your truck though.
