What’s up?

On the way back from this Thanksgiving holiday weekend I was driving on a paved 2-lane highway (uphill and curves).

All of a sudden the A/T OIL TEMP light came on. I pulled over and it stayed on for a minute so I turned the motor off. I proceeded to check all of the vital fluids and everything appeared to be OK.

About 5 minutes later I fired it up and the light was off. It did not come on again.

Anything to worry about? Could this be a fluke or is something going on?

If it only came on one time I wouldn't worry about it, if it happens more often then you'll want to get it checked.

 

Yes, it it most likely a cooling problem. (If any) Hence the temperature light coming on. On the flip side of your drivers side visor, it tells you what to do in such a situation. You did the right thing. Mine comes on ALL THE TIME....then again my transmission is A PIECE. Like Eric said, if it comes back on get it checked out.
