HELP:Loud winding noise in instrument panel (Dash) HELLA ANNOYING

Has anyone experienced this?

I think it may be related to my speedometer needle because the needle bounces around a little bit when it occurs. It happens at speeds above 10mls/hr. It sounds mechanical, it's a high pitch winding noise, and it usually occurs when it is cold out. I'm thinking something needs to be lubed....any thoughts???

Mine did that a few months ago. I ended up pulling the instrument cluster out and sprating some lube down the cable while CAREFULLY driveing around the block.
Worked like a charm.
