What is the highest you can lift a second gen with stock arms and no dif drop?

I have a 95 4Runner and it currently is setting at 15 inches fender to rim height on the front and 14-3/4 on the rear.

I would like to have it setting at 16 inches front and rear. Is this too high for the stock suspension? The front is lifted by adjusting the torsion bar and the rear has 2 inch spacers. I want to add my BJ spacers and OME springs to this setup.

I already have a panhard drop, manual hubs, and extended rear brake line.

What im really worried about is the CV's working at these angles when wheeling. Is it too much? I dont want to drop the diff if I dont have to.

Hard to give an exact angle where problems will arise, at least until the CVs bind of course. Joint lifetime probably depends a lot on how the truck is used off-road. Light to moderate use, open diffs, light foot on the gas and they may last a long time. Manual hubs will help since you are not turning the joints and boots all the time. One option is to try it and if you start tearing boots or snapping CVs several times a year, you'll know it is too much angle. Do the quick-change CV joint mod and carry a spare half-shaft and see how it goes.
