Need advice about " jerking" occuring with Toyota PUP, please.

Well ive been trying to diagnose this problem with my Toyota now for over a week, and well it aint going well at all. When accelerating the truck jerks. It usually jerks after switching gears and picking up speed. And as of recent it's been giving some pretty hard jerks. So it obviously is not getting better. The truck is a 1984 Toyota Pickup, 4WD, 22R, 5 speed manuel transmission. Can anyone please tell my what any possible causes are? What would it would take to repair it? If any can help, i would appreciate it alot! Thanks.

I had the same problem on a 79 Supra. I found a spark plug wire that was damaged. Once replaced, it went right back to normal. Check the wires/plugs first, and go from there.
