what to do about rear upper control arms hitting gas tank

the rear upper control arms I have for my 4 inch lift are extended ones, so i didn't use a bracket, and now when i flex it is hitting the gas tank, it's only about half an inch from the tank. I have heard of people notching the gas tank, but i was just worried about how far i can go. I can see where the weld is which i am asuming is the seal point, is that my stopping point?

I tried searching for this and couldn't find it exactly, so if there is another thread about this please point it out to me... thanks

I have an extended panhard bar yes, but I am talking about the upper control arm. The panhard has nothing to do with this situation, the UPPER control arm is hitting the gas tank...

I was under the impression people were just trimming the gas tank skid plate. you might try talking ot flygenstein i think he had some custom bars made with a bend in them.

yup, this has been a big problem with my lift....I plan on trimming the tank and just going slow with it. I'll try to mess with this during the next week and get back to you.
