Unhappy idle problems and cylinder misfire Plz Help!

i have an 86 toyota pickup with the 22rte motor in it. i have an idle problem. it has a very rough idle during and after warmup. the exhaust pipe shows that the engine is running very rich, you can smell it too. i now found that i am not firing on the fourth cylander. the cylander has spark, fuel, and compression. WHAT IS WRONG!

that cylinder probably has bad piston rings or burnt valves

It obviously has fuel since you are smelling it in the exhaust.
How did you go about checking for spark and compression?
What was the compression in that cylinder?
What does the spark plug look like?
Have you tried another plug?

thanks anyway but i found the problem: it had a bad manifold intake gasket, which caused that cylander to not have enough air which made the fuel unable to combust which was why it was running rich with soot in the exhaust. Easy as that. If you know anyone else with this problem let em know this info.
