Looking to upgrade the seats in the Tacoma with some leather 4runner seats. I have a gray interior in my truck, so I though I was going to have a tough time finding gray leather because I thought the majority of the 3rd gen 4runners had the oak interior if they had leather? So I've found a set of 99 4runner leather seats and the seller says they are "bluish/gray". I even checked the 4runner history page on here and it doesn't even show gray leather as an option in 1999! It looks like in 99 if you got leather, you got oak! Has anyone seen a 1999 (any trim level) with gray leather? Also, did any 3rd gens have blue leather?

You might try something like searching at www.autotrader.com and look for interior pictures. Might spot something usefull there.

 

The only leather I've seen in that gray color was aftermarket..my buddy has it in his 97 SR5. Can't say that I've ever seen in OEM.

 

I was thinking they finally offered it in 01 and 02. Oh well, off to search on AutoTrader a while. Thanks Flamed!

 

Aftermarket probably. My friend has grey aftermarket leather in his 99.

 

Try ebay every now and again for seats,Ive been trying to find a drivers seat if nothing else in the oak or beige leather to replace my 98`s and thought Id seen the gray blue several times in leather. BTW,This 98 the first vehicle Ive had with leather and honestly would never again,there hot when its hot,cold when cold,hard ,sticky and just plain uncomfy IMO compared to cloth, just my $.02 worth.
