SteveO's SAS

Yup, another SAS. However, becuase I wanted to make my life very difficult, I'm doing a Coil-over sas, with 14" SAWs.

Here are some teaser pics or you can check out my website for more.

Working on this stuff when I can, such as after work and weekends is really tough. However, when it all gets done, it'll be a nice ride.

Nice pics Steve! Are you fabbing up the 4 link or is that something that you have bought? You got me interested in this as I am planning on a SAS in the next year or so and this has crossed my mind. Keep the pics and updates coming.

I agree...all these leaf spring SAS's and I'm interested to see how this one comes along! I've saw the flex of a 4 link rear....could only imagine the front too!

Very very good idea. Now I'll have one to use as a template when I get to do mine. I'm pretty sure that it'll kick all of those leaf spring SAS'd rigs butts.

A good idea, yes, I presume so. I know it'll ride nice. A template, well, I dunno, I'll get all the measurements I can and pass them along so you all can create your own torture sessions.

Kicking leaf spring's butt......well, if I don't flop over with the very soft suspension, I suppose so.

I'll tell ya what. This take a tremendous amount of thought and design. Being that its a 4Runner, there are several different deals that have to be worked out. Being that its a 3 link with an automatic, some items have to be moved, and just plain old fabbing skills come into play here.

Needless to say, its a lot of work.

Looks great Steve.

Not sure about leaves fighting links, but I know this has to be a well thought out and well implemented plan. Looking forward to seeing it.

Why not put the uppe link on the diff?
