I figured basically everyone here had heard of ttora and monitored that forum too. Otherwise I would have posted.
I am driving down early Friday morning with plans to be there 9-10ish, wheel Friday and Saturday and leave Sunday after breakfast.

Hey, it's not your fault. I've bookmarked TTORA now, and will keep an eye on it for Toyota events, but as a pure (and virgin) 4Runner owner, didn't really search hard for something that's got Tacoma in the name. Hope to see some Toys at Kempton (8/20), Jersey Shore (9/3), or Kingsdale (9/10) for the street stock drags. I've been the only Toy entered this year so far, and get really sick of smokin' Rangers and Pissans. Check out http://www.ec4wda.org/regionb for event schedules. The street drags are "run whatcha brung", and most events have good trophies for the class winners, and a top eliminator that puts all the class winners against each other for the big trophy.

Taking the boys, Bill? I'm booked unfortunately - I'd have loved to ride right seat at least.

Yea, me and the boys are going. I was going to ask if you wanted to go along but I didn't know if that would bum you out not being able to take your truck.

Just finished the body lift last night!! Most of the tire rubbing is gone. Yea.

Good to hear, Bill. Am I bummed about being sidelined? Yep, but life goes on...

Did you pound/trim the pinch weld yet? That should eliminate the balance of your rubbing.

Not yet. I'm debating if I should trim it with a grinder or pound it flat. I'm concerned if I trim the pinched part of the weld off, will it weaken the joint to the point where the two pieces of sheet metal may come apart? May be better to just go at it with a BFH!! What do you think?

I did both to mine. Trimmed some off with a grinder THEN pounded the crap out of it with a 3 lb hand sledge.

Mike,

Looks like Bud aka BUDBUILT is going to be on this trip. Maybe I will win one of his skid plates in the raffle.
