How do I compress at full the rear suspension?

Hello,

I'm with a shock dilemma so I want to measure the compression and extension without shocks but I don't know how to compress enought the rear coils as to touch the bump stops...

I've never seen the axle touching the bumpstop but I suppose that in special situations like big dubbies it will touch...

Can I achieve the max compression by running up a ramp in reverse? I'm not sure if so I'll get the coil compressed at max...

This will usually do it for a stock or mildly built rig:

Thanks Roger, those ramps seem low but your truck is a lot flexed... I suppose it's because you put them like dubbies, each one in each side...

I'll try to get something similar, but now I only have some wood planks and trunks that support quite well the truck weight.

Yes, put them on diagonal corners, that way you double the deflection and make use of the vehicle's weight to twist things up.

On a coil spring truck, you can just pull a spring and jack the axle to the stop?

If I place the jack in one side of the axle and jack it up I don't achieve to touch the bumpstop. There's a moment when the coil stops compressing and the front suspension begins to extend in that side and to compress in the other...

I think Roger's method will be the best.
