Rear shackle is seized!
I recently purchased new leafs for my taco, but when I went to replace them, both the rear lower shackle pin and the front bolt was seized to the metal bushing coller.
How do you free the pin from the coller without ruining the pin?

I take it the bolt/pin is frozen within the sleeve but that the nuts come free.
I'd start by using a liberal application of Break-Free/WD-40 etc. Let it sit overnight and do its thing. Try working it loose the next day, if it is still stuck then move on to the BFH. You can protect the threads on the bolt threading on a nut and pounding on the the nut and thus bolt. You'll need a new nut or two but that is cheaper than a new bolt. Make sure the truck is secure on stands if you have already lifted it when you are pounding.

I had that problem with mine when I replaced them, we could not get them out, we had to cut the front bolt off, then cut the spring off the shackle in the rear and we ended up melting/cutting the bushing off. (avoid the melting if at all possible) Make some sincere effort with deep creep or pb blaster, possibly even hose it down with it multiple times every day for a week and drive it around to work it in, then try again.

Yep, whatever works. I got all mine out eventially, undamaged. Took liberal applications of penetrating oil over a few days, probably a propane torch to heat things up a few times, hammers, pry bars, etc. After that, I put poly bushings in all my springs with no sleeves using new shackles with full size 18mm bolts all around and never had that problem again:

you got new springs right? just cut the sumbitches out. We have this problem at work with ALL the tacos we do. Dont know what Toyota did wrong, but they always rust.
