5-Spd Tranny - a bit noisy .....

My 5-Spd has seemingly always been a bit noisy (all gears, at lower RPM's most noticeable). Also it's especially noticeable when you're torquin' it on acceleration, etc.

I'm pretty sure it's not in the actual driveshaft, although I'll lube those up this week to be sure. Funny how last time I had my '94 in for an oil change (like about 3 mo. ago) I specifically asked (and paid for) the JiffyLube idiots to lube the entire chassis and drivetrain. Well, now that I'm doin' my OWN work, I look at the U-Joints, slip-yoke, etc and I swear the nipples on them haven't been slightly touched by ANY grease gun for a LONG time!!!! There's just no way they'd be caked up that much with dirt, etc... if those monkeys would have lubed those joints like they SAID they did! Really pisses me off that you pay for somethin' and the shmucks probally just figure you'll never know whether they did it or not so they just short-cut the deal!

Anyway, bottom line is - I'm thinkin' about swappin' out all differential and tranny oil. Any recommendations on oil brands/types for the 5-Spd tranny to help with it bein' a bit noisy???

It is a bit more at the register but well worth it.

REDLINE MT-90 for the trannie and it will quite right up
REDLINE 75/90 for the diffs
