Well I just got back from MD last night where I picked up the 88 Runner. I must say the thing ran great all the way home. What a fun truck to drive!! I want to start by fixing some of the small stuff that is wrong with it, I searched, but couldn't find what I was looking for.

Problems:

1. Turn signals. Lights and arrows work, but won't periodically blink. Same thing when I use hazards.

2. Rear window doesn't work and I don't hear the motor working at all. The window will not stay up, when I hit a bump, it just falls down in the tailgate. Is this in need of a new motor, or is easier to find a working tailgate at a junkyard?

3. I want to change all of the fluids in the truck. Oil, trans, t-case, rear end: any reccomendations?

4. Finally, is there anything else that I should look over and possibly replace. I am going to be taking a 1000 mile road trip in 2 weeks and want to make sure everything is in goo shape.

Truck specs: 88 4Runner, 259k-25k on rebuilt motor, newer tires, cooling system, brakes. Runs fine.

1. Maybe the flasher relay is bad, try replacing it.

2. Open up the tailgate and hae a look inside to see what is wrong.
