Question Creaking Noise on 2nd Gen 4runner

Everytime I go over a speed bump or brake, I hear this creaking sound coming from the rear end. I made a list of all the things It could possibly be:

1. Shocks?
2. Coils (EMU 1.5 inch longer than stock)?
3. Brakes (highly doubtful)

What do you guys think? It sounds like a suspension problem. But I have no idea.

It could but as far as I know it shouldn't be creaking to begin with so there's prob something else causing the spring to move...Maybe a 4 runner guy will chime in here. But ya I'd try it and while you're at it check all your rubber bushings.

Thnx guys! Turns out it was the damn spare tire. The bastard is loose. Anyone know how to get those bad boys off? They look pretty tricky.

kinda a pain. you gotta get the long rod witht he hook on the end from under the back seats. and then get the other "jack supplies" from in one of your back cubbies. then take the rod with the hook and insert it through the little elongated hole in your bumper.

hmmm i think your owners manual can explain it better than i can hahahahaha try lookin in there.
