Pinion, Driveshaft Flange and TRD Rear Help needed!

OK, heres the situation. I have a 1999 Tacoma TRD w. elec rear locker. I have been told that thte driveshaft flange is a 30 spline unit. My Yukon gears have a 27 spline pinion. I bought a driveshaft flange for a tacoma rear w/out the locker which is a 27 spline. However, the splined shaft diamater of the pinion shaft is smallert than on the flange. I have vrified that I have the correct flange, is it possible the pinion is incorrect? Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated.

The Non TRD taco's came with the 8 1/4" 3rd, whole different animal. The TRD 3rd is the tried and true 8". So the pinion flange you have for a NON TRD taco will not fit.

However pinion flanges are interchangeable with standard V6 8" 3rds. If you need to go junk yarding, 4cly pinion flanges MAY work, don't know haven't tried yet. I know for a fact that 7.5" IFS front pinion flanges are interchangeable (long story)

Jake.

*edit* Have you checked the spline count on the eLocker you have now? It may be a 27spline. I have found that the eLockers come w/ both 27 and 30 spline. Seems to be hit or miss.

Sorry I was editing my post while you were replying.

Check what you have now and if indeed you have a 30 spline than yes one off a 94 will work.

Where are you located? I may have what you need.

Jake.

if you have a 27 spline driveshaft flange from a pre-taco 8" that would work, i will buy it if you can do overnight shiping (or something to get it to NY by tuesday or wednesday AM). I would f course pay all shipping and good money for the flange. I just need it ASAP b/c I have an appt to get the geards done on wed. I am unfortunately desperate here. I can make payment however you want, paypay, cash, Money order, let me know.
