Where to beef up and where to lose wheight? ? ? ? ?

Hey Guys___ I have an 84 4Runner it weighs 4400lbs.It has 35’s with 529’s and stock births and axles up front. My question is, since it weighs 4400 lbs., at what point(weight wise) should I consider beefing up the front end (you know longs.,crompoly etc.) and if the front end is beefed up .would it make a difference for that weight. Also any ideas of WHERE to shed weight?____ THANKS BAYRUNNER

your rig weighs 4400lbs pretty much stock? mine must weigh over 5000 then. if you went with longs it wont change the weight much. sheding weigh on a runner is a pita start bobing it cuting sheet medal any reason why you want it lighter?

fiberglass replacement fenders hood etc., remove unused wiring (if any), make a custom dash only for gauges, light weight wheels, Al radiator, carbon fiber driveshaft. To give a good recommendation kinda need to know what you want to use it for.

mine with all the IFS ˟˟˟˟˟ weighs 3800 with me in her and the top on. are ya sure bout your weight? honestly you can only make a difference if you are willing to make your rig really uncomfortable. so like was said, what do you want to use it for? a general rule(doesnt apply to us but is a good reference) is losing 100pounds equals .10 off your 1/4 mile time. so it usually doesnt make riding in a noisy, uncomfortable rig worthteh extra 2 tenths you save by gutting it.

Ditch the hardtop and tailgate, replace the 'runner gate with a pickup one. Anything unnescessary, get rid of (you know, like carrying 4 different 14mm sockets), just carry what you need.
