1st Gen Runner - Water leak

87 runner with a factory sunroof. When it rains the floor of the front passenger side gets damp. If I feel under the carpet the foam padding is wet. I have looked but have not seen anything obvious to cause this. Anyone else with a similar problem and where should I start looking to fix it?

Just recently noticed this too in my 89 Runner when I pulled the seats to put my wet okole's on... I pulled the front carpet too see if I could find the leak & haven't seen anything yet. Guess it hasn't been driven in enough rain?? If I don't find it soon, I was going to park over a water sprinkler to help locate it. BTW- mines on the pass. side too. Will post if I find something.

On my 89 pickup, the a/c condensation drain tube had come off where it connects inside the cab, causing all the condensation to drain right down the firewall and under the carpet. Might want to check it to be sure.........

I live in PA and it is not warm enough here yet to need the A/C. I read somewhere before that there is a drain for the sunroof that occasionally gets clogged but I have not seen anything like that.

On the first gen runners, the windshield area rusts out. It is a bad problem with all of them I think. I had that problem too a couple of years back. after I pulled the windshield, I was able to see the problem. I repaired it, and havent had a problem since. Btw my sunroof has never had a leak. I guess I'm fortunate there.
