86 22re Fan clutch replacement
Does anyone have any tips on how to replace a fan clutch in an 86 4runner?

Yeah, its easy 
. Unbolt the 4 bolt's on the water pump and the 3 for the fan shroud and lift them out as 1 piece. The 4 bolts are kinda tricky to get to and to make them easier to get to I would bump the starter to get the bolts where they were easiest to reach. To makes it easier I took off the top radiator hose as well.

or just get a 19mm socket on a breaker bar and turn the crank so you can get to each bolt easily with a 10mm open end wrench, the fun part is getting them back on!
