Need advice on timing belt replacement...

I just bought a 98 Limited V6 4runner with about 90K mileage. I will have the timing belt change but would like to know what else should I have replaced while the timing belt work is being done?

Also, what is the going price for a timing belt change so that I don't get taken for a ride? Thanks.

Lotso posts on this... have you tried SEARCHing?

The parts cost on a timing belt is about $35. The water pump is in there as well and it wouldn't be a bad idea to hit on, about $95 for parts.

If you're doing the work yourself, it's about 4 hours for a first timer. If you're having a dealer/mechanic do it then it's about 2 hours of billable labor. Figure a going rate of about $75-$80/hour.

Parts wise... 1stToyotaParts gets my vote these days.
