It's time for a new website header on YT

At least 2 out of the 5 rigs at the top now have solid axles, those pics are getting out dated.

Although, they have made it to print. What about the ones that didn't make it but were close?

I'm sure this suggestion would be an easier sell if someone actually came up with a replacement.
I thought I remember reading somewhere that someone was or was going to work on an animated banner that would show multiple pictures?

An animated banner, would be very cool.

Give us an example when you get time Steve.
It should be around the same pixel size as the present one.

I think it should include a 4Runner from each generation and a Taco...and certainly the banner hogs that are up there now should be left out!

I'm already collecting pics from around the Yotatech site. One thing that is somewhat difficult is getting a close picture of the unadulterated vehicle picture. But then again, thats what Photoshop is for......

SteveO, can you get any pics from the calendar contest? The ones who didn't win?

3 of the 5. I think you should just update the current trucks since all of those guys built something and did not just bolt on some crap. Building something original is much more honorable that bolting on pre-made parts.

I say leave it. It works. Why change it?

Already on it.

The one thing about the Calendar pics is that they have so much of the background in there, the rig is very small. When somebody takes a close up pic, where the rig takes up the entire pic, this is a better shot.

So, Photoshop comes into play, and I'm triming out the background, and bringing the rig into the entire canvas.

Leave it......Hmmmmm, maybe you should have left your IFS alone, it works right, the FrankenTaco suspension, etc....

Maybe I should have left my rear link setup alone.....

Maybe I should have left my IFS alone too, but the reality is, times change, people change, and rigs change to adapt, just like background of Yotatech changed.

Naw... I say its time for an update. If not what I propose, than something by another board member. I know there are plenty of Computer savvy graphic artists on this board who can whiz-bang out some cool stuff to update Yotatech.

BTW, I love the black background and white letters. It makes the text much easier to focus on and read. This is why my site has always been with a black background and white (or sometimes other colored) text.

Schaefer, givin ya a hard time.....

OK, take for example this picture. To make this picture work in the banner, the rest of the picture will have to be cut away. Then, you have a bunch of small trees in front of the rig. Indeed, this is a great shot in the snow, but I'm trying to collect very clean, unadulterated (print on the pictures) close-up pictures that will look clean and tight when the picture is made small.

Schaefer has one of his front axle that I was planning on putting in there. But, I didn't fine any close up shots of his front that I could really crop, lighten (to show the axle) and size down. The one in his Avatiar is great, but is has his name all over it, adulterated.

BTW, you have an expired Domain Name. I like your signatured, but the lettering would have to go.

Guess, I'm following what was up there;

Pure assortment (1st - 4th generation) of rigs, with no dude hanging out the window, or funky writing on the picture, just pure rig.
