Question Power door locks dead

Hi all.. I've been daily reader of this forum since I got my 94 runner last year, and have found it invaluable. Now.. my 1st actual problem/question... :-)

While poking about in wiring harness on the drivers side kick today (installing a relay to operate the rear window from my alarm remote), I inadvertantly caused a short in the door control module. I had the module out of it's grey protective case, and it shorted against the chassis. Now... no power door locks. :-( I have checked all the fuses I can see, but they are all fine. Before I hunt around for another controller, is there another fuse that powers this module that I am missing?

If not.. a 2nd question... there a few Door Controller on e-bay now for 90-95 4runners, but the part number is different than mine.

My p/n is 85980-35030. The ones I see for sale are 85980-89101. Can anyone confirm if this different p/n will work?

Thanks all...
David

ouch.. $300... i hate messing around with electrical things on my runner.. stuff is so old that you touch it and you bust a contact, was messing around the other day and now my 'rear door' light is on... *places a small piece of electrical tape* just can't be bothered... hope you manage to get those locks working again, for a reasonable price.

Thanks for the replies. I am scouring the local wreckers and have sent off a few inquire e-mails to wreckers on-line. Oh well.. back to manual door locks for now. :-( The irony is I now have a rear window I can control from my alarm fob, but I can't lock my doors with it. :-)

Leebee.. off topic... I see in your sig you did the airbox mod on your 93? Did you drill holes in the bottom as in the tech write-up from UKMyers? Did it help?
