Clanking noise coming from the rear.

If I hit a dip or incline too fast i often hear a clanking noise, anyone know what it could be. The very last hanger on my exhaust has broken near the tip could it be the tail pipe rattling?

Yes, it could.

When ever I get a weird noise I take a wrench and bang on stuff till I hear something similar to the noise. Grabing things that shouldn't move and trying to move them helps also.

Yeah, mine too!

I have a very similar problem on my '91 SR5. I haven't dug into it much just yet. What do you own?

This is a much discussed issue. Look a page or two down for the "clunking noise" thread for ideas ... we're all still trying to find the noise too.
